About

Meghann (she/they) is a queer femme, single mother, artist, teacher, and cultural producer. Her creative practice is deeply informed by her queer identity and grounded in an ongoing dialogue with the communities she is connected to and continually learning from. Her work moves fluidly across photography, printmaking, textiles, and sculpture, embracing the cross-pollination of techniques and an experimental approach to materials and process.

Collaboration and community engagement are central to Meghann’s practice. She regularly works with grassroots organizations to create Community Art Build events that bring people together through collective creative projects in support of social, political, and cultural work. Her collaborations have included Don’t Shoot PDX and Basic Rights Oregon.

From 2020–2022, Meghann led SmallAxe, a collaborative community project centered on cultivating small acts of care and connection through group exhibitions and artist-led creative projects. Meghann is the Director of Public Programming for the Center for Contemporary Art & Culture at Pacific Northwest College of Art, where she also teaches in the Foundations department.

Her artwork has been featured in publications including Ph, Diffusion, and SHOTS, and exhibited at Newspace Center for Photography, Lightbox, Pony Club, the Centrum Gallery, and Washington State University. Full CV available upon request.

Meghann received a BA in Philosophy and Sociology from Boston College and an MFA from Pacific Northwest College of Art and Oregon College of Art and Craft.
